ANZAC DAY
In Room 4 we learnt about the animals that were in World War 1.
Did you know horses, chickens, cats, dogs and donkeys went to Gallipoli!
We wanted to learn more about the donkeys.... Donkeys were used to carry water to the men in the trenches and as ambulances. The donkeys carried the troops back to safety. We read a story about a man called Jack Simpson, he was very brave.
Poppy
I have a little poppy,
As red as red can be
I wear it to remember those,
Who fought to make me free.
